California Poppy Bolo Tie
This listing is for a Coffin shaped California Poppy Bolo Tie. A true labor of love that was hand crafted with Santa Fe Railroad China. These California Poppy ceramics were once plates, used in Santa Fe's Railroad Dining Cars. Dating back to the early 1900's, and made into jewelry in the 20th century. The hand crafted, fine detailed silver ornamentation gives the antique dinnerware a modern twist.
The beautiful California Poppy on this plate was hand cut by me. It was meticulously shaped into a coffin. It was carefully set in a serrated sterling silver bezel. Surrounding the bezel I soldered over 20 hand formed sterling silver domes and stamp embellishments. This created such a lovely frame that compliments the California Poppy centerpiece. The bolo tie connects to the light brown leather cord with a hand fabricated sterling silver finding on the back. It has sterling silver bolo tips to complete this unique piece.
Bolo Height: 2 1/8"
Bolo Width: 1 1/4"
Bolo Cord Length: 36"
