California Poppy Ring (size 8)

This listing is for a California Poppy Ring. A true labor of love that was hand crafted with Santa Fe Railroad China. These California Poppy ceramics were once plates, used in Santa Fe's Railroad Dining Cars. Dating back to the early 1900's, and made into jewelry in the 20th century. The hand crafted, fine detailed silver ornamentation gives the antique dinnerware a modern twist. 

The beautiful California Poppy on this plate was hand cut by me. It was meticulously shaped into a teardrop. It was carefully set in a serrated sterling silver bezel. Surrounding the bezel I soldered 16 hand formed sterling silver domes and stamp embellishments. This created such a lovely frame that compliments the California Poppy centerpiece. The ring connects a hand stamped sterling silver split shank ring band.
