Orange Blossom Bolo Tie
This listing is for a sterling silver Orange Blossom Bolo Tie. A true labor of love that was hand crafted with Southern Pacific Railroad China. These orange blossom ceramics were once dinnerware, used in SP's Passenger Train Dining Cars. Dating back to the early 1900's, and made into jewelry by me, in the 20th century. The hand crafted, fine detailed silver ornamentation gives the antique dinnerware a modern wearable twist.
The beautiful Orange Blossom on this plate was hand cut by me. It was meticulously shaped into an oval. It was carefully set in a serrated sterling silver bezel. Surrounding the bezel I soldered on 20 hand formed sterling silver domes and stamp embellishments. This created such a lovely frame that compliments the Orange Blossom centerpiece. The back plate has a dark patina, to give the polished frame a high contrast. The bolo tie connects to the light brown leather cord with a hand fabricated sterling silver finding on the back. It has sterling silver bolo tips to complete this unique piece.
Bolo Height: 2 1/8"
Bolo Width: 1 1/8"
