Orange Blossom Hoop Earrings
This listing is for a pair of sterling silver Orange Blossom Hoops. These hoops are so so detailed, that being said a lot of time went into this pair.
A true labor of love that was hand crafted with Southern Pacific Railroad China. These orange blossom ceramics were once dinnerware, used in SP's Passenger Train Dining Cars. Dating back to the early 1900's, and made into jewelry by me, in the 20th century. The hand crafted, fine detailed silver ornamentation gives the antique dinnerware a modern wearable twist.
The beautiful Orange Blossoms were hand cut by me, and meticulously shaped into cabochons. They were carefully set in serrated sterling silver bezels. Surrounding each bezels is 14 hand stamped embellishments and silver domes. They were each individually soldered onto the back plate. This created such a lovely frame that compliments the Orange Blossom centerpieces. The back plate has a dark patina, to give the polished frame a high contrast. Even more hand stamped details can be found on the base of this hoop, giving these show stopping earrings a true three dimensional look and feel.
The 18g ear wires were riveted by hand, and click on and off for easy wear with a hand fabricated clasp system.
