Orange Blossom Necklace
This listing is for a sterling silver Orange Blossom Necklace, hand crafted with Southern Pacific Railroad China. These orange blossom ceramics were once dinnerware, used in SP's Passenger Train Dining Cars. Dating back to the early 1900's, and made into jewelry by me, in the 20th century. The hand crafted, fine detailed silver ornamentation gives the antique dinnerware a modern wearable twist.
The beautiful Orange Blossom on this plate was hand cut by me. It was meticulously shaped into a cabochon. It was carefully set in a serrated sterling silver bezel and attached to a hand stamped backplate. This created such a lovely frame that compliments the Orange Blossom centerpiece. A dark patina gives the polished silver a high contrast. It is hung on sterling silver chain with a handmade clasp.
