The Inflorescence Hoops
This listing is for a pair of sterling silver Orange Blossom Hoops. A true labor of love that was hand crafted with Southern Pacific Railroad China. These orange blossom ceramics were once dinnerware, used in SP's Passenger Train Dining Cars. Dating back to the early 1900's, and made into jewelry by me, in the 20th century. The hand crafted, fine detailed silver ornamentation gives the antique dinnerware a modern wearable twist.
The beautiful Orange Blossoms were hand cut by me and meticulously shaped into cabochons. They were carefully set in serrated sterling silver bezels.
These beauties are specifically crafted for folks with stretched ears. The base of the hoop is forged out of 10g sterling silver wire. With that said, your ears must be stretched for these to fit. The back plate consists of hand stamped designs that resemble flowers in bloom. These hoops have a lot of fine details, for example the beaded edge that you can find above the china plate setting. Another is the hand stamped details that were individually soldered onto the base of the hoop. After, they were sawed, filed, and sanded for comfort. So much intention went into these hoops you see here.
Hoop Height: 2 1/2
Hoop Width: 2 1/4"
