Tidal Wave Ring (size 6 1/4)

This listing is for a one of a kind sterling silver ring featuring a piece of Union Pacific Railroad China. I hand cut the china plate fragment into a cabochon, making use of the border of the plate. This special piece of china was set in a fine silver bezel. Surrounding the oval shaped railroad relic rests several hand stamped embellishments. Each piece was meticulously hand stamped, sawed, filed, sanded, shaped, and soldered onto the back plate. You can also find four handmade silver domes that accentuate the three dimensional aspect of this ring. The hand stamped split shank ring band is comfortable for everyday wear. What a lovely way to showcase the rare piece of china that it holds. The ring was tumbled for polishing and burnishing. I gave it a dark patina, for depth and contrast, then a final mirror finish polish.
