Orange Blossom Ring (size 7 1/2)
This listing is for a sterling silver Orange Blossom Ring. A true labor of love that was hand crafted with Southern Pacific Railroad China. These orange blossom ceramics were once dinnerware, used in SP's Passenger Train Dining Cars. Dating back to the early 1900's, and made into jewelry by me, in the 20th century. The hand crafted, fine detailed silver ornamentation gives the antique dinnerware a modern wearable twist.
The beautiful Orange Blossom on this plate was hand cut by me. It was meticulously shaped into a cabochon. It was carefully set in a scalloped fine silver bezel. Surrounding the bezel I soldered on several hand stamped embellishments, and two sterling silver domes. This created such a lovely frame that compliments the Orange Blossom centerpiece. The back plate has a dark patina, to give the polished frame a high contrast. The ring band is hand stamped with split shank.
