Santa Fe Dangle Hoops
This listing is for a pair of handmade dangle hoops! They are meant for standard size ears, but can be worn through tunnels, as shown in the photo.
These beauties are hand crafted with scavenged Santa Fe Railroad china plate shards that I found along the railroad tracks. I then cut and shaped each cabochon by hand. Often times, railroad china was thrown off of dining cars, whenever a plate or cup broke. What better way to preserve its' history, than to wear them as a piece of jewelry. These pieces in particular were used on passenger trains from 1936-1970.
Below the 20g ear hook hangs an embellished piece of railroad china. On the back plate, each stamp embellishment is individually struck into the metal, sawed, filed, and sanded. On each hoop you can find one three dimensional stamp that's been shaped, then soldered around the setting.
The base of the hoop is hand crafted out of sterling silver round wire. These earrings have so much dimensions and texture. I think you'll love them even more in person! So much intention went into these hoops you see here. Definitely a true labor of love!
Please check all dimensions to ensure each piece of jewelry will fit you before purchasing. I typically do not accept returns, and hope that all of my customers are satisfied with the jewelry they purchase from me. For us to achieve that, please go through and read all jewelry descriptions, look at the photographs, and make sure that everything is the correct size.
